Gaming friends,
On Monday, April 15, we shipped out the last of the Kickstarter orders for this project. We have now moved on to fulfilling web site preorders and contributor complimentary materials, and we're making great progress.
Thank you for your support! It was through great effort and determination that we got this project done! So many great partners who rose to the occasion are due thanks. Artists and cartographers who contributed great new works, like Daisey Bingham, Johnathan Bingham, Andreas Claren, Diogo Nogueira, Glynn Seal, Val Semeiks, Jason Sholtis, and Del Teigeler. We also brought in some new blood for this project—Mick Fernette and Mike Tenebrae—both of whom have been welcome additions to the fold and are now working on new stuff for us.
Quietly injecting his own sick, depraved creativity to this project was the man known as Chainsaw, whose mini-adventure, "The Brazen Bull" was a fantastic addition to Rats in the Walls and Other Perils. Stay tuned for more great AS&SH material from Chainsaw soon.
Of course, never to be overlooked is the man who helps me orchestrate all the madness, the meticulous David Prata, whose tireless efforts are instrumental to the quality of all our works. We all tend to praise the writers and artists of creative works, but without a great editor who shares (and questions!) the vision of the creator, then quality, consistency, and continuity would be a lesser thing.
In the warehouse, I had some great help from my daughter, Skye, who has mastered all the packaging techniques that I require, and she did so with a smile and lots of stories for dad. Skye will continue working for dad into the summer.
This project was a great success! Soon we will launch our next Kickstarter project, seeking funding for two new adventure modules, The Lost Treasure of Atlantis (Chainsaw) and The Sea-Wolf's Daughter (Talanian). We will have fully painted covers for each module—one by Peter Mullen, the other by Del Teigeler. As usual, the campaign will not be launched until I am completely satisfied with the amount of work completed in advance. We are almost at that point. Stay tuned for more information soon!
Fulfillment Underway!

Greetings fellows,
Fulfillment is now underway. We have begun packaging all the orders that do not include the AS&SH Referee's Screen, but that product is scheduled to arrive on Friday. After they arrive, shrink-wrapping on those units will commence.
So, we are looking good as far as being on time for most KS orders. (March shipping was the estimate when we ran the KS.) I know I mentioned in some earlier posts that we may be slipping into April, but at this point I do believe we will have the bulk of the orders out before March is over.
In other news, I have brought in a secret weapon: Skye, my 12-year-old daughter, who now works part-time for North Wind Adventures. I even let her pick the music while we work. :)

About a week ago, the physical copies of Rats in the Walls and Other Perils arrived. This was great news! Since that time we've been inserting bookmarks and shrink-wrapping these new modules. We've also been shrink-wrapping the AS&SH Player Character Folders. So great progress towards fulfillment.
We also spent some time folding the Rats T-shirts, allocating all the pieces that were preordered through Backerkit.
Today, the AS&SH Players' Manual arrived, filling our small warehouse with pallets of books!
So, now we patiently wait for the AS&SH Referee's Screens to arrive. The ETA for their arrival is the Ides of March (3/15). Once those arrive, we'll get right into shrink-wrapping those and then straight into fulfillment. So, we remain on track, but slightly late, meaning that shipping should begin in March, but it will slip into April for most backers. However, shipping for some orders that do not include the screen may begin much sooner -- likely right after Total Con 33 (Feb. 21-24, Marlborough, MA) and Gary Con XI (Mar. 7-10, Lake Geneva, WI).
Speaking of Total Con and Gary Con, I'd like to get something off my chest, if I can beg your pardon: I do intend to bring a small amount of new product to both of these conventions. It concerns me, because I understand and appreciate that many of you prepaid for these materials months ago, and now some random customer -- probably less invested in AS&SH than yourselves -- can simply walk up to the North Wind Adventures booth and buy a book you've already paid for and are waiting for. On the surface it doesn't seem fair, but please consider that these folks are paying more than you did, and they are not receiving complimentary PDFs; nor are they receiving the complimentary Rogues Gallery II PDFs that you received. To maintain healthy cash flow for the development of our future projects, adding new merchandise to our booth is essential, so I kindly ask for your understanding.
Some of you may ask, "Can I pick up my stuff at one of these cons?" Not impossible, but to be frank, I'd much prefer to resume the fulfillment process that I have painstakingly set up, without creating exceptions. Your stuff is coming soon! :)

Greetings,
As many of you are already aware, the PDFs for the AS&SH Players' Manual, AS&SH Referee's Screen, Rats in the Walls and Other Perils, and Rogues Gallery II (a stretch goal PDF), are now available. Depending on your pledge level, you should have received your download link(s) from DriveThruRPG. If you have not, simply check your spam and junk folders, or just log in at DriveThru. Or perhaps you are one of the handful of people who did not fill out the Backerkit survey, in which case I hope to hear from you soon!
With the release of the PDFs, I would like to update you on our progress for physical fulfillment:
Rats in the Walls and Other Perils: Should be in this week. Inserting bookmarks and shrink wrapping to follow.
AS&SH Player Character Folder: Folder are in, and the goldenrod booklet sheets are in, too. Each folder has been stuffed with 10 character sheets, and shrink wrapping is to follow.
AS&SH Players' Manual: At the printer and scheduled to ship from Missouri to New Hampshire in about 10 days. Bookmarks will have to be inserted.
AS&SH Referee's Screen: Already printed and on a boat from overseas. Scheduled to arrive by mid-March. These will be shrink-wrapped, too.
So, like I mentioned in the last update, the Ref Screen is likely to hold things up a bit. It's quite likely that bulk of the shipping will not occur until early April.
One thing I that I often get asked about is stretch goals. "Are your stretch goals going to cause extra delays?" It's a valid question, because it occurs so often in this hobby. For North Wind Adventures, this is not the case. We keep our stretch goals simple and achievable:
Rats bookmark: Printed, delivered, and ready.
Iconic Characters PDF: This is the Rogues Gallery II, completed and sent to supporters today.
Players' Manual bookmark: Printed, delivered, and ready.
More art: Bonus art was contracted and completed for Rats in the Walls and Other Perils. We added five new pieces to the module, and they came out great.
So, as you can see, the stretch goals have already been managed. We have also received all the Rats in the Walls and Other Perils T-shirts. These are ready to be shipped with your books.
Oh, before I go. A few weeks ago I received the cover art for one of our next modules, Chainsaw's weird and fantastic adventure, The Lost Treasures of Atlantis. The cover has been fully painted by a fellow called Peter Mullen. I think you're going to like it. I'm not showing it yet, though. You're going to have to wait just a bit longer... :)
