Take a look at this masterpiece by Val Semeiks (pencils, inks) and Daisey Bingham (colours). The AS&SH Players' Manual features a wraparound cover with 4-inch gatefold flaps. This 300-page book is going to the printer this week. Like our compleat 2E hardback, this book is being printed by our good friends at Walsworth, in Missouri.

Lately I've been receiving a lot of questions regarding add-ons, particularly for this book. Did I mention that Rats in the Walls and Other Perils is also at the printer? Yes, final layout was completed about a week ago, and the files were sent to our local partners at RAM Printing, here in NH.
Here is one of the final "Rats" pieces that rolled in, courtesy of Jason Sholtis. This is a statue of the deity, Aurorus, "The Shining One", inspired by Abraham Merritt.

Everything for this project is running smoothly, but I do have one growing concern regarding the timeliness of all the components: The referee's screen is being printed overseas, and although I have been told they will arrive in March, I would be more comfortable knowing that they are arriving in February. Unfortunately, this is not the case. So, a March delivery for all orders containing the screen (which is most orders) may be tight!

One Small Step...

Greetings Hyperboreans,
Yesterday, another small step was completed towards the fulfillment of this Kickstarter campaign: We received the bookmarks for Rats in the Walls and Other Perils. These will be inserted in each print module.
In other news, the Referee Screens, Player Character Folders, and goldenrod character sheets are all at the printer. These small steps take us closer to the completion and fulfillment of this project, which remains on time and on schedule.
An incredible amount of work on this project has been accomplished by a variety of contributors from around the globe. I'm very fortunate to have such a creative and reliable team. Here is where we stand:
BASIC PLEDGE ITEMS
Hyperborea Players' Manual: Cover colours by Daisey Bingham are proceeding. A comprehensive index is being added to the layout file as we speak, with just under 1,000 entries: Azathoth, donning armour, halberd, linkboy, pommel strike, stevedore, whirlpool, Ymir, and more!
Hyperborea Player Character Folder: The character sheets that this folder will be contain (10 booklet-style, goldenrod sheets) are now at the printer. The folder itself is in layout and will be going to the printer soon.
Hyperborea Referee's Screen: At the printer. We are expecting to see an Epson proof within a week or two.
Rats in the Walls and Other Perils: Written, edited, cover in, maps in. We originally contracted 20 interior illustrations, but thanks to your support and a stretch goal unlocked, we've added 5 more. Out of the 25 interior illustrations, we have 17 ready. Actually, more have been completed and just need to be scanned. We're in great shape, preparing for the layout of this module and its cover!
ADD-ONS
Most add-ons in our Backerkit are either the core items noted above, or past products that are also available at our online shop. One item that is an exception to this is the Rats in the Walls and Other Perils T-Shirt. The shirt is designed, and materials have been selected. As shirt orders continue to roll in (through Backerkit add-ons and preorders), we are waiting to place our shirt order until early in 2019.
STRETCH GOALS
Here's where we stand with our stretch goals:
Rats in the Walls and Other Perils Bookmark: Designed and ready to go to print. It may be sent to the printer today!
Iconic Characters PDF: The seven characters have been developed, edited, and illustrated. Each is presented at 1st, 4th, and 7th levels of experience. We are taking a final look at each of these pre-gens, preparing for layout soon (probably early January).
Hyperborea Players' Manual Bookmark: Has not been designed yet, as it is contingent on the completion of the Players' Manual cover colours rolling in.
More art for Rats: Five extra pieces have been assigned, and two have already rolled in.
